New to our show team...

We are both delited & proud to introduce Montravia Abracadabra AKA Kanobi.

 

 Kanobi come to us from the Montravia Kennels bred by Marita Rogers & Phillip Freer.

 

Since he joined us here at the Caldbeckjack kennels in march 2018 just after Crufts.

 

 

He has ranked up.

 &

just the last few weeks he has managed to achaive

 

  BOB BPIB at Westmorland Open Show under judge Morray Armstrong

Just last Sunday under Judge Tony Minett BPIB & BOB at lanchishire sporting terrier show.

Going on to recieve BPIS4 under Best in show judge Nigal Norris pictured here at the lanchishire sporting terrier show.

 

We have just learned that Konibi has made breed history being the first Jack Russell Terrier puppy to win a Best Puppy In Show award at a Terrier Show Making Breed History..

We have also learned that this win also qaulifies him to compete at the national terrier championship show later this year for puppy of the year which we will recieve an invite too..

Caldbeckjack Peels Lad A.K.A Billy made history being the very first Jack Russell Terrier to be given a first place award at Crufts!!

 

 

Billy recieved a first in class "Jack Russell Terrier Puppy Dog"  also recieving Best Puppy Dog, we are thrilled as Billy is from our own breeding here in Cumbria.

 

 Our little Genial Gru "Bohemia White Hunter" bred by Alena Vlkova from Prague, Czech Republic also recieved a third place award at Crufts, suffice to say! our two boys did us proud & we are very pleased with these results.

We are delighted to announce that our little Jack Russell Terriers have now been fully registered on the British kennel club registry.

My Father in-law Edward McKenzie & late husband Edward Donald McKenzie worked extremely hard to get the Cumbrian Jack Russell Terrier recognized by the British Kennel Club.. For years they strived & worked extremely hard to get the Cumbrian breed recognized & registered here in the UK.. By keeping the Cumbrian Jack Russell  "just that"  ( a Cumbrian Jack Russell ) i intend to carry on the tradition that was passed down & entrusted to both myself & my children.

We thought that it was only right to mention the founders of the Cumbrian / Caldbeck Jack Russell line..

The Founders were the late Edward Mckenzie whom passed the breed down to the late Edward Donald Mckenzie & myself...

I am so proud to carry on the family line that was entrusted to my late husband & myself..

To Edward Donald Mckenzie Only!!

We were present at the first champ show (The National Terrier Chapionship Show) which was held on 2nd April 2016 at Bingley Hall Stafordshire where we exhibited our Jack Russell Terriers & recieved a Reserved puppy award for Susie & a VHC for Snitch.
 
We are in the process of creating a show page so we may share with you some of our show photos videos & stories.

A trip down memory lane..

Below is a small trip into our past starting from the origin & history we share with the Cumbrian Jack Russell Terrier which was first introduced by John Peel.. if you wish to know more please go to our history page where it explains in greater detail..

Where the JRT originates from

John Peel (1776-1854, he was born about twenty years before John Russell), who had also s.c. “hunting terriers”, that were named as jack russells, as all the small,

Our JRT's descend directly from the John Peel..
